During Habitats week we explore some of the major habitats of the world, learning about the animals and the unique environments of each habitat. We explore the snowy Polar regions complete with floating icebergs, make a playdough cactus for the desert, become explorers through the rainforest with our magnifying glasses and binoculars, clean up the ocean and rescue the trapped sea animals, learn about the Savannah whilst creating a leopard at the craft table, play Woodland i-spy in the small world play tray and catch and return the frogs to their lily pads in the pond habitat. Every session finishes with story time, songs and a snack.
